There’s something special about coming home that never leaves you. Although it has been nearly 30 years since I have lived there, every time I return to my parent’s house I am always reminded of what it means to be home. Home is that place where you are welcomed unconditionally, that place where you find friendly faces and welcoming hearts. Home is where a person receives their

foundation for life, a place where the bonds of family are formed and maintained throughout the life span.  Home is a place where there are no strangers, a place where there is food enough for everyone and a place for everyone to find rest. Home is also that place from which we leave to

venture out into the greater world to share with others the lessons we have learned at home. The first time Amy and I entered into the Prince of Peace parking lot and surveyed the church grounds we commented that this is such a place; an inviting, peaceful, vibrant place, like home.  And so, in our short time here, we have come to know that this community of faith at Prince of Peace is much more than just an attractive building and beautifully manicured grounds. It is home because of the love and spirit found in its people. People like those who are pictured in these pages which follow. People who have been gathered together in this place by God’s grace and sent to serve the world.  People who live together as a family with the words and promises of our Lord written upon their hearts and the work of the Lord evident in their hands and voices.  So it is with grateful and

humbled hearts that Amy and I are proud to call this place home and we invite you to consider it your home also.
